Chinese assistance in dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak continues to arrive in Pakistan, as a second aircraft carrying medical supplies arrived today in Karachi. The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan has said that 2 tonnes of supplies worth around Rs. 67 million have been delivered to Karachi. These supplies include test kits, masks, ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Billionaire Jack Ma and the Alibaba Foundation have taken the lead in providing assistance to Asian countries, including Pakistan.
Meanwhile, an aircraft with Chinese medical experts also landed in Islamabad. It was received by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, alongside the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
