‘Apex Court Should Summon DGs Of ISI, MI, And IB In Interference Case’

Interference in the judiciary comes not only from the administration and intelligence agencies but also from within. In the past, when Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui talked about it, he was removed from office. Why did not the conscience of the judges wake up at that time? The present bench should summon DG ISI, DG MI, and DG IB and remind them of their limitations.

This was stated by senior journalist Raza Rumi during the talk show “Khabar Se Aagay” on Naya Daur TV.

During the program, journalist Syed Sabih Ul Hasnain said that during today’s hearing, Justice Athar Minullah gave strong remarks on the campaign against Justice Babar Sattar, while the Chief Justice was very careful about the whole matter. The judges of Peshawar High Court (PHC) have written in their suggestions that intelligence agencies approach them for verdicts of their choice, and they receive threat calls from Afghanistan if they announce judgments on merit.

Barrister Ahmad Hasan Shah said that when suggestions came from all high courts on interference in the judiciary, it meant that the judiciary as an institution was responding. This is the first time that the judiciary is discussing this issue so openly, so some solution will definitely come out.

It is pertinent to mention here that the chief justice has also admitted that the judiciary itself colludes with the interlopers.
