People who booked or bought properties in Bahria Town Karachi (BTK) held a protest sit-in outside the BKT office on Tariq Road and demanded justice.
According to a report in DAWN, the protest was organised by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI). The JI has launched a campaign against Bahria Town, announcing that it would hold a protest demonstration outside the CM House on Feb 9.
Women and children were among the protesters. The protesters held placards and chanted slogans against business tycoon Malik Riaz and Bahria Town.
They demanded the federal and provincial authorities to play their due role to resolve the issues, which had put the huge investment of middle and upper-middle class at stake.
