Hafiz Saeed's Brother-In-Law Arrested In Gujranwala Over Hate Speech
Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) leader Abdul Rehman Makki has on Thursday been arrested for making hateful remarks against the government's action against banned outfits.

Makki, who is the brother-in-law of Hafiz Saeed, was arrested in Gujranwala and shifted to a Lahore jail. An official of the Punjab government on a guarantee of anonymity told Samaa TV that he had made remarks against the government for taking action against banned outfits in the country.

He had also asked people to donate to the banned Jamat-ud-Dawa. Makki has been arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order Act.

The interior ministry on Saturday announced that it has placed 10 more organisations on the list of proscribed outfits.

According to a press release issued by the ministry, the action was taken in pursuance of the National Action Plan (NAP).

The newest additions to the list of banned outfits are Al Anfal Trust (Lahore), Idara-i-Khidmat Khalaq (Lahore), Al Dawatul Irshad (Lahore), Al Hamd Trust (Lahore and Faisalabad), Mosque and Welfare Trust (Lahore), Al Madinah Foundation (Lahore), Muaz bin Jabal Education Trust (Lahore), Al Eesar Foundation (Lahore), Al Rehmat Trust Organisation (Bahawalpur) and Al Furqan Trust (Karachi).

The entities were banned over their affiliation with JuD.
