The misleading headline ‘Pakistan narrative on Kashmir not acceptable: Saudi Arabia’ presents Saudi Arabia and specifically Saudi Crown Prince himself as rejecting Pakistan’s Kashmir narrative. But, there is nothing much in the story except for some imaginary ‘sources’.
The story has been attributed to Delhi-based ‘Indo-Asian News Service (IANS)’. In the story, ‘sources’ (though not clarified from India, Saudi Arabia, Uganda or any country for that matter) said that ‘Pakistan’s narrative on Kashmir is unacceptable’.

The ‘sources’ also said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s $20billion investment in Pakistan was made to ‘bail’ Pakistan out of financial. On the other hand, ‘Saudi Arabia was not investing in India to bail the country out, but because it was a robust economy growing at nearly 7 percent’.
‘Sources’ also said that Pakistan should be the one feeling insecure about the improving relationships between India and Saudi Arabia.
The story was published a day before Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman visited India and during his stay in Pakistan, and this raises a lot of questions, especially in light of the Pulwama Attack and Indian media’s vicious anti-Pakistan propaganda.

Ironically, at the very end of the article, the website has linked another article in which Saudi Arabia says it aims to play peacemaker's role between India and Pakistan.
How could a country that aims to play a peacemaker's role take sides on an issue as sensitive as the Kashmir one and reject Pakistan’s narrative, on the very day the Saudi Crown Prince signs multiple agreements with Pakistan?
Surely the ‘sources’ are INcredible.
Try harder next time, India Today!
