A NAB press release said that officials went to Shehbaz's residence but were 'bullied' by Sharif's security guards who tore their clothes and gave them death threats.
"NAB officials had gone to the residence with an arrest warrant and the Supreme Court had stated that the accountability bureau did not require to inform any accused prior to arresting them," read the press release.
The released said that PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz violated the law and NAB would arrest him light of the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Speaking to the media afterwards, Hamza Shehbaz said that he felt like a 'terrorist'. “SC has said that NAB has been politicised. NAB personnel thinking they were Superman came to arrest me.”
He said he had just returned to the country a day before the hearing.
Party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb told Geo that a 7-8 member NAB team conducted the raid. She condemned the raid and asked whether Shehbaz or Hamza Shehbaz were 'terrorists'.
“Under which law was this raid conducted without any prior notice?”
