Former National Assembly speaker and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz - N (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq said on Saturday that he stood with what he said about Pakistan's act of returning Indian pilot Abhinandan.

Sadiq was visited by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) president Maulana Fazl ur Rehman.

Talking to media, the former speaker said that Indian media and opposition misinterpreted his comments, adding that linking his comments with the institutions is wrong."You could disagree with my comments, but no one has the right to call me a traitor," said Ayaz Sadiq.

PDM President Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman also criticized the government. He said that the government is trying to divide the opposition. We are Pakistanis and we have to be united. He added that PDM is talking about the problems of the masses.

PDM President accused the government of trying to create an artificial crisis in the country. He emphasized that no department of this country should cross the limits and boundaries set by the constitution of Pakistan. The opposition parties have not crossed any limits of the constitution, he added.

Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman also advised the government to not label the opposition leaders as traitors as it creates divisions in the federation.

Earlier today, mysterious posters terming Ayaz Sadiq traitor over his statement about Abhinandan surfaced in Lahore.
