PPP In 'Severe Grief' Over Nawaz’s Return: Suharwardy

It is not an ordinary development that Pakistan’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom was there to see off Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif when he was departing for Saudi Arabia, from where he will board a chartered plane to return to Pakistan.

While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that apparently a way has been paved for the PML-N to reemerge as a political party, and this is the reason why the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is in grief over his return.

He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is looking for approval to hold a rally at Lahore Liberty Chowk to demonstrate its political strength, but if they really want to prove their popularity, they must also hold a rally at Minar-e-Pakistan too.

The analyst said that since it is an easy task to fill a chowk with party supporters, this is why the PTI wants to hold a rally at Liberty Chowk.

While responding to a question, Suharwardy said that Nawaz will reach the country at noon, but the rally will be held in the evening. He added that the upcoming rally will decide the future of the PML-N.

The analyst also said that PML-N leader Raja Riaz is making controversial statements regarding the party, suggesting that he should avoid this practice; otherwise, he will soon be out of the party.
