Judges are exposing themselves through their remarks in the reserved seats case, and it has been clear which judge is on which side, said senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy.
While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, Suharwardy said that the entire nation knows very well about the political inclination of judges. He said that judges lose their respect when their remarks become political arguments.
While referring to Justice Athar Minallah, the analyst said that a judge cannot use his personal knowledge while hearing any case. He added that judges are facilitating the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and many of them have been exposed.
Suharwardy said that, during the tenure of the former chief justice of Pakistan, Umar Ata Bandia, there was a bench of like-minded judges who were giving judgments in favor of one political party, but currently the whole judiciary seems divided.
While responding to a question about Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, the analyst said that the federal cabinet has approved the military operation to eradicate militancy. He said that the army has decided to launch an operation, and no one can stop it.
Suharwardy said that the PTI policy is to support the operation, and its posture is to oppose the operation. He said that the sardars of tribal areas are with the army, adding that the people of tribal areas want peace and action against the TTP.
