Pakistan’s Daily Number Of Coronavirus Cases Now More Than Italy, Spain
Pakistan is currently reporting more confirmed coronavirus cases each day than Italy and Spain – the countries affected the most by the fatal virus after United States.

According to Pakistan’s health authorities, in the last 24 hours, the country has reported more than 2,000 new COVID-19 cases from the 8,687 tests conducted, taking the national tally beyond 62,000.

However, according to Worldometer, Italy is currently reporting less than 1,000 cases each day. It reported 584 confirmed Coronavirus cases on Wednesday. It was on May 12, when Italy had last reported more than 1,000 cases in a single day, whereas on April 29, the country reported more than 2,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in a single day for the last time.

Moreover, Spain has been reporting less than 1,000 cases every day for a week now. It reported 510 cases on Wednesday. Interestingly, for the first time in more than 3 months, Spain did not report any COVID-19 case on May 25. France, on the other hand, has been reporting less than 1000 cases since 9 May. The country has reported only 191 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Following the outbreak of the disease in each country, Italy carried out 36,07,251 tests, Spain 35,56,567, and France 13,84,633 so far. Contrarily, Pakistan has conducted 5,08,086 tests since 26 February.

The fatal coronavirus has claimed 1,286 lives in Pakistan, while 22,305 patients have recovered successfully and have been discharged from the hospitals.

The national tally of coronavirus confirmed cases has risen to 62,789, with the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan confirming 22,037, 25,309, 8,842, 3,616 cases respectively. Meanwhile, 658 cases in Gilgit-Baltistan, 2,100 in Islamabad, and 227 in Kashmir have been reported to date.
