Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided to keep Pakistan on its grey list. The four-day plenary session of the anti terror financing watchdog ended on Thursday after which the announcement was made. The status will next we reviewed in June at another session.
FATF President Dr Marcus Pleyer held a press briefing in Paris to announce the decision of the FATF's four-day virtual plenary meeting.
He said that Pakistan remains under 'increased monitoring' and pointed out some 'serious deficiencies' while acknowledging that the country had made 'significant progress' to combat terror financing.
