A Khairpur school teacher who is being accused of raping a minor boy has allegedly been involved in several cases of child abuse with students, including forcing them into having group sex with each other on camera, who used to visit his place for private tuition.
According to Dawn, the retired school teacher had a criminal past. He was a resident of village Nangar Shar in Khairpur's Faiz Ganj taluka before moving to Thari Mirwah due to his alleged involvement in crimes.
He was also involved in a double murder case. However, the charges were not proved against him. The suspect also reportedly got the relatives of a young boy implicated in a false case when the boy resisted being involved in an illicit relationship with him.
A rights activist has likened the case to the Kasur scandal. Amar Sindhu claimed that the suspect allegedly raped 132 children in addition to forcing them to have group sex with each other. “Those videos are in circulation so there is more to it. It can be a Kasur-like scandal as well so police should look beyond this single video,” she added.
Others called for strict action against the suspect.
Sharmila Farooqui said the children needed to be protected.

In 2015, in Kasur's Hussain Khanwala village, videos were made of at least 280 children being sexually abused by a gang who later blackmailed their parents by threatening to leak the clips and received money from them.
