Students of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) staged a protest during Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's visit to the varsity on Friday for alleged censorship at the event by the administration. The students said they were not allowed to ask candid questions and the event was highly regulated.
A student of LUMS, who wished not to be named, told Naya Daur that students were barred from asking questions from the PPP chairman during his talk about the 18th amendment.
The protesting students also reportedly held placards demanding justice for Namrita, a medical student from Larkana, Sindh, who was raped and killed.
LUMS Law and Politics Society had hosted the PPP Chairman to talk about 18th amendment and federalism.
