Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is out of the race for prime minister, and the party might sit on opposition benches in national and provincial assemblies as there is no chance of their victory in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan provinces.
While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that the PPP was of the view that small political parties and those who quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would join them, but it didn’t happen, and new political parties emerged in national politics.
The analyst said that the PPP considers the establishment and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) responsible for the current situation. The PML-N had informed the PPP that no seat adjustment would be done in Punjab, and the establishment didn’t force any electables to join the PPP.
Suharwardy said that business tycoon Malik Riaz will become an approver against PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case. It is pertinent to mention here that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Malik Riaz, but he is not returning to the country.
