Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz reacted to Prime Minister Imran Khan's statement that grievances of the angry Baloch will be addressed, saying that the prime minister should first visit the persecuted Hazara community of Balochistan.
While speaking at a gathering in Gwadar on Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan had stated that he was considering negotiating with the disgruntled Baloch to avoid letting them be used at the hands of hostile elements, including India, who wanted to create instability in the region.
"Balochs are as much Pakistani as you and I," Maryam said, adding that their reservations should be addressed. She however added that the PM should have visited the persecuted Hazara community before talking about the Baloch insurgents sitting abroad.
"They wanted to speak to you but you told them that you won't be blackmailed by the bodies," the PML-N vice president said, while referring to a protest held by the Hazara-Shia community of the province following the massacre of 11 coal minors in Mach.
