Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari lashed out at the government, saying that it has 'abandoned' the people of Pakistan during tough times and presented a budget 'full of lies'.
He expressed these views while addressing the National Assembly session on Friday.
While commenting on the ruckus in the National Assembly that continued for three days, the PPP chairperson said that the chaos was deliberately created by the government members to stop the opposition from exposing the 'PTIMF budget'.
He added that the people of Pakistan do not need the opposition to tell them about the budget because they [the public] are already bearing the brunt of inflation. Bilawal further said that the government's claim of four per cent economic growth was a lie.
The PPP supremo said that the PTI government failed to increase salaries despite the fallout of Covid pandemic and its effects on people's daily lives.
