Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly told Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan to lead Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)'s 'war' against the government. According to reports, Zardari told Nawaz Sharif that PPP lawmakers would tender their resignations from assemblies only if Sharif returns to the country.
The former president has also been quoted by media as saying that Nawaz should be ready to go to jail if he is serious in his stance against the government.
The two opposition leaders were exchanging views during a crucial meeting of the PDM which Nawaz Sharif joined through video link.
