Islamabad Police Detains Journalist For Taking Picture Of Lal Masjid
A journalist associated with Arab News Amir Saeed has alleged that Inspector Islamabad Police Irshad Amed Abro detained and harassed him for taking a photo of Lal Masjid in Islamabad.

Aamir tweeted a photo on Sunday, informing the people about the mistreatment of Islamabad Police. He said inspector Irshad has detained and harassed him for more than 30 minutes just because he had taken a picture of Lal Masjid in Islamabad. The journalist further questioned, “this is how local administration wants to resolve the conflict with Maulana Aziz? By harassing Journalists?”

Last week, government authorities had signed an agreement with Maulana Aziz, allotting him 20 Kanals of land for the construction of Jamia Hafsa in return of eviction of Lal Masjid. The agreement followed three days of negotiations and was facilitated by banned outfit Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ).
