Transgender Woman From Pakistan Nominated For International Award

In recognition of her work, a transgender woman from Pakistan has been nominated for the international GALAS award in Dublin, Ireland. The winner will receive the award at a ceremony on the 9th of February this year.

The award recognizes the achievements of those working for the LGBT community.

Nayab Ali has been working for the past 10 years to help state institutions improve conditions for the transgender community. She also contested the 2018 general elections and secured thousands of votes.

Nayab Ali has studied botany at Punjab University and international relations at Islamabad’s Preston University.
