Asif Ghafoor Says Indians’ Joy Over His Transfer ‘Honour’ For Him
The outgoing director general Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, has said that it’s an honour for him that Indians are happy with his transfer.

Maj Gen Ghafoor, while speaking to defence correspondents of Pakistani media outlets on Thursday, said, “It is an honour for me, if Indians are happy with my transfer from the ISPR.”

“Pakistan has fought a battle for its survival during the past two decades – and the defence correspondents stood rock solid by the armed forces in this fight,” he added. “The media played an important role in the achievements of the armed forces.”

He further said that his successor would take over on February 1. Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar was posted as the new DG ISPR to replace Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor on January 16.
