Two intelligence-based operations carried out by security forces in the North Waziristan tribal district killed five suspected terrorists, including two Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commanders, DG ISPR said on Sunday.
The development comes a week after two terrorists were killed in the tribal district of South Waziristan by security forces.
The two terrorist commanders killed during the raids in the Mir Ali and Khaisur regions of North Waziristan were identified to be Syed Rabeea of TTP alias Abid (AKK group) and TTP Saifullah Noor (TTP group) (Gohar group).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), since2007, militant Raheem alias Abid has been engaged in 17 acts of terrorism against security forces.
Meanwhile, TTP commander Saifullah Noor was, according to the ISPR, “was directly involved in different IED attacks on security forces in Khaisur."
