A young 24-year-old Pakistani carpenter has become a fashion model in Saudi Arabia after his pictures went viral on social media.
Gulf News reported that Muhammad Waqas, a Pakistani resident, came to the Kingdom four years ago to earn a livelihood. He always wanted to become a model, but he did not had much hope of succeeding. However, a quick social media post from his friend changed his life.
“I came to Saudi Arabia four years ago to work as a carpenter. And, I never thought of becoming a model in advertising. One day I saw my friend [Faisal] editing the photos of a photo session. I told him that since childhood I have wanted to work in this field but in Pakistan, I did not get the chance, so my friend suggested and took a picture of me and sent it to the relevant person,” said Waqas, while speaking to the local media channels of KSA.

On July 1, a Twitter user (@tamimi1_1) posted the photos of Waqas in a tweet which has gotten over 33,300 likes so far. He had asked the agencies looking for models to get in contact with him.

“Brands who want this handsome man to model for them, contact me,” @tamimi1_1 wrote. Soon after, Waqas was offered modelling opportunities.
Taking to Twitter, Waqas posted his pictures, modeling for a Saudi Arabia-based vest making company. Currently, the aspiring model has been updating his social media accounts, sharing snippets from photoshoots he has been attending. Moreover, over 21,200 people are following him on Twitter.
