A messaging saying that special army helicopters will spray pesticides to control the outbreak of coronavirus has been circulating on social media. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has refuted the message, terming the information fake.

The message says: “Today, special military helicopters will spray pesticides against the Corona virus in the skies all over the country, so you must stay indoors after twelve o'clock at night.” It also asks people to remove all clothes from the surfaces so they can be protected from pesticides.

“When you hear the sounds of airplanes at night, it is for you to know that it is related to this matter (COVID-19),” it further says. According to Dawn newspaper, the same message is being circulated in other countries as well in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
