Naya Daur has learnt through reliable sources that former PM Nawaz Sharif, after the recent order by the Lahore High Court (LHC), is all set to leave for London on Monday. An air ambulance has already been arranged for this purpose.
Sources have further confirmed that Sharif will initially stay in London where his health condition will be closely monitored and once he stabilizes, the final destination will be the United States of America (USA), where he will receive intensive treatment for acute ITP disease which he developed during his incarceration.
The plan would be delayed if the government decides to file an appeal in the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the LHC decision. While a few government representatives have expressed their intention to move the apex court in this regard, there has been no official announcement to this effect.
Sources say that an appeal by the government is unlikely.
