The Chakwal deputy commissioner (DC) triggered a strong reaction on Twitter after he posted a tweet in which he had mentioned that the Lawa assistant commissioner (AC) had taken action against a hotel [restaurant] owner for serving the customers during fasting hours.
But after some time, he deleted the tweet perhaps because of this reaction. Some images were also shared in the tweet.
It all started with the tweet in when the DC said that the hotel had been sealed and an FIR registered against the owner.
He added that the area assistant commissioner had checked several hotels in connection with the Ehtram-e-Ramazan Ordinance 1981.
Lawa is a tehsil of Chakwal district. It was previously a part of Talagang tehsil.
But as soon as the tweet was posted, people from various walks of life criticised the action by raising different points.
But one of them was very elaborate in explaining his stance.

Earlier this week, five heatstroke centres were forcibly shut down in Sukkur after some hardliners objected to their operations during the fasting hours.
