US-Pakistani blogger Cynthia Ritchie has accused the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and members of a social rights movement Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) of harassing her in the past few years.
Cynthia Ritchie expressed these views in journalist Muhammad Malik’s show on private channel Hum News on Sunday.
The blogger also claimed in her written statement to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) that she has been investigating PTM for the last two years “with the assistance of supporting agencies and military”.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had approached FIA after the blogger’s ‘defaming’ tweets about the late former premier Benazir Bhutto.
In her reply to FIA, Cynthia claimed: “In this process [investigating PTM] our teams have found links of ant-state activities between PTM and PPP.” She further accused PTM activist Gulalai Ismail, Academia Nida Kirmani, activist Marvi Sirmed, and former diplomat Hussain Haqqani of harassing her online, after her pictures in Miran Shah with military officials were released in 2018.
“I have worked closely with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), female commandos in KP, highways and motorways police, military, and National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA),” she said in the statement.
