Pakistan Peoples Party Member of National Assembly (MNA) Nafisa Shah has criticised the federal government’s indifference towards the issue of locusts in Sindh and has stated that there would be no wheat crop this year if the problem goes unchecked.
While taking to Twitter, the PPP central information secretary said that locusts had wreaked havoc in Sindh but the federal government had been callously unaware and unconnected.
She said that if the situation carried on like this, there would be no wheat crop this yea, adding that this was a natural disaster.

Sindh had been hit by a locust attack in June this year, as thousands of locusts descended upon various districts including Nawabshah, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Jamshoro, Dadu and others.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had tweeted at the time about the federal government not responding to calls for help.
