Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Man To Play Lead Role In Hollywood Short Film ‘The Cure’
A Pakistani man from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province has landed himself a lead role in an upcoming Hollywood short film, titled The Cure.

The 29-year-old Mashood Alam Malik, who belongs to Karak district of KP, will play the role of Noah who is part of a team that tries to save the world from a dangerous group which wants to spread a deadly virus.

The trailer of the film was released earlier in the month and is slated for release in 2020. The trailer shows Mashood Alam being briefed by his team lead about his mission and the actor is then seen dodging bullets and running away from enemy helicopters.

The young actor of Pakistani descent moved to the United States of America five years ago where he got involved in gymnastics and parkour. Mashood said that he was very impressed with villains in Hollywood movies, adding that he would look forward to land a negative role in the future.

Other cast members of The Cure include Glen Baggerly and Evangeline Crittenden. The movie has been directed by Ahmet Atalay.
