Capital punishment rising in Pakistan despite most verdicts being overturned by higher judiciary

500 is the number of Pakistanis that have been executed since Dec 2014. That was when the moratorium on death penalty was lifted after 6 years of no executions. 4700 Pakistanis are still on death row, and will be executed if the moratorium is not put in place again.
