Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has threatened journalist Mubashir Zaidi to hit him with a 'shoe' after the latter poked fun at him for cancelling a scheduled press conference on Wednesday.
A reporter tweeted a screenshot of a message by the water ministry, wherein the ministry had told the reporters in a Whatsapp group that presser was cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.
Retweeting the screenshot about cancellation of the press conference, Zaidi made a facetious remark and said perhaps the federal minister wasn't able to find a 'boot'. He was referring to Vawda bringing to an 'army boot' to a live TV show to 'humiliate' the opposition panelist for supporting the army chief's extension bill.
However, the federal minister didn't take this joke lightly. In response, he threatened to hit Zaidi with the 'boot' if he 'found' it.
