The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on Monday dismissed a complaint against Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, as the huddle found “no substance” in the complaint filed against the apex court’s judge, but Justice Sayyed Muhammad Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi would not save himself from accountability.
While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that it has been proven that the complaint against Justice Masood was fake, and the complainant Amina Malik’s husband works at the chamber of advocate Sardar Latif Khoosa.
The analyst said that Justice Masood has gotten clean chit from the SJC, and those who hatched conspiracies against Justice Masood have faced humiliation, but Justice Naqvi will not be able to save himself from the council.
Suharwardy said that the entire legal team of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was trying to defend Justice Naqvi, but the judge will soon be held accountable for his alleged corrupt practices.
While talking about the complainant, Amina Malik, Suharwardy said she should be sent to jail for filing a fake complaint, and an example must be set so that no one dares to submit a bogus complaint against any judge.
In response to a question regarding the political future of former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi, the analyst said that both leaders will not contest the upcoming general elections; instead, Moonis’s mother and his aunt will take part in the elections as candidates.
Suharwardy revealed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif will visit interior Sindh and Karachi soon as a part of the election campaign.
The analyst said that PTI leader Zulfiqar Bukhari is in hot water, and he is seeking clean chit from the establishment. That’s why Bukhari gave an interview in which he admitted that Imran Khan wanted to appoint Lt Gen. (retired) Faiz Hameed as army chief, and the appointment of Usman Buzdar as chief minister of Punjab was a mistake. Suharwardy said that despite all these statements, Bukhari will not be able to get any relief.
