Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen has been released from prison after a month of incarceration following approval of his bail in different cases, including that of sedition, registered against him.
In January, Pashteen was sent to Peshawar's Central Jail on a 14-day judicial remand by a magistrate following his arrest from the city's Shaheen Town.
Activists in Islamabad who protested his arrest were also detained by the police and later charged with sedition. Later, Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted bail to the detained activists and reprimanded the government for charging them with sedition.
