Lahore civil court has been petitioned to stop the release of the play Mere Pass Tum Ho's final episode. The petitioner has stated that the drama serial insults women, and portrays them as worthless in society.
"The writer of this script has shown his mental harshness against the dignity of women in a very disrespectful manner," the petition read.
Filed by a woman named Maham, the petition names PEMRA, Punjab Film Censor Board, ARY Digital, Nadeem Baig and Humayun Saeed as respondents.
A civil judge has sought response from PEMRA, Baig and Saeed by January 24.
