PIMS Doctors Urge Govt To Impose Curfew Citing Lack Of Resources In Hospitals
Doctors of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) have made a desperate appeal to the government to ensure people remain at homes and stay protected from coronavirus, because the hospitals do not have the capacity to cater to coronavirus patients. While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, the doctors urged the government to impose curfew if needed. "We don't have the resources to deal with this pandemic", a representative of the doctors said. He added that there are only ten beds and 2 ventilators in the isolation ward and nothing else has been provided by the government. "These resources can in no way help us treat the patients", he said.

He complained of government's negligence in ensuring availability of medical facilities at the hospitals and said that the people should know that they are on their own. "Tell the people to stay at their homes because we simply do not have the capacity to help them if they get the deadly virus", he said.
