2 Killed, 12 Injured As Blast Rocks Johar Town Area Of Lahore
Two people were killed while several others have been injured in a blast in the Johar Town area of Lahore. The explosion took place near the residence of banned Jamaat ud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed.
A pregnant woman is among those injured in the blast and has been placed on a ventilator.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident, seeking a report from the authorities concerned. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Muddasir Malik said 12 people including women have been wounded in the blast.
The wounded sustained burn injuries and are therefore critical, as per the hospital officials. The sound of the explosion was heard in faraway areas. Eyewitnesses told media that an unknown individual parked a motorcycle near a house and it later exploded. The area has been cordoned off by the police for further inquiry.
