British-Pakistani Woman Murder Case: Suspect Surrenders To Police
One of the two accused in the murder case of a British-Pakistani woman who was killed in Lahore for rejecting marriage proposal has surrendered himself to the police.

According to police, the suspect Saad presented himself before the police on Friday and recorded the statement saying he had not killed the woman. He added that the slain Mahira was his friend, but they were not in a relationship. The other accused remains at large. Police are now interrogating Saad.

Earlier this week, a 25-year-old British-Pakistani woman was found dead in a house in DHA Phase 5, Lahore. Reports indicated that Mahira Zulfiqar was staying in the upper portion of the house with her friend, after having arrived in Pakistan from the UK some two months ago.

Her uncle had filed the FIR, stating that she had visited him a few days before this and had told him that two of her friends were threatening and harassing her. The police registered a case against four individuals, who include two of her friends Zahir Jadoon and Saad Amir Butt. The two friends allegedly wished to marry Zulfiqar.
