Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen and his three friends have been booked by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police on charges of treason for allegedly chanting anti-Pakistan slogans.
FIR against Pashteen was registered after a firing incident on the Hazara Motorway's toll plaza on Saturday. The FIR accused y.the PTM leader of chanting slogans against Pakistan and its indtitutions as Tehreek-e-Inqilab activists chanted slogans in favour of the Pakistan Army. Akram Qureshi, the individual who filed the FIR, said that Pashteen came out of his vehicle after hearing their slogans and use derogatory language against Pakistan's state institutions.
Dawn reported that the FIR contains sections 324/504/505/506/427/124-A and 153A/34 of Pakistan Penal Code.
