Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the plea seeking disqualification of Yousaf Raza Gilani and withholding of the notification for his victory in the recently-held Senate elections.
Earlier on Tuesday, the ECP had dismissed the plea against Gilani filed by PTI, after which the party submitted an amended version of the application. The Commission heard both sides and reserved its verdict, which was announced at 3PM on Wednesday. Yousaf Raza Gilani's victory notification cannot be withheld, the ECP said in its verdict.
