Policeman Deployed At Islamabad Protest Loses Life Due To Tear Gas Shelling
A police officer in Islamabad died after falling sick due to tear gas shells fired by his fellow cops on Wednesday to end the protest by government employees against disparity in salaries.
The deceased was identified as Ishtiaq and was serving in the Special Branch of Islamabad police.
Geo reported that he faced breathing problems at 7pm on Wednesday following which he was moved to PIMS hospital, where he succumbed to his illness.
The government is receiving flak for the police action against peaceful protestors.
