Head of the criminology department at the University of Karachi (KU), Dr Ghulam Muhammad, has been removed by university’s sexual harassment committee.
The harassment committee at the university launched an investigation against him after a female teaching staff of the criminology department had accused him of harassment last year.
Dr Farah Iqbal from the department of psychology has been appointed as the department head in Dr Burfat’s place, Express Tribune reported.
Anonymous sources allege that while the investigation was ongoing, the classes at the criminology department for the new academic session were dilated and students are being neglected.
