Sharif Family Stands United, Says Maryam After Meeting Hamza Shehbaz
Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Monday came to the accountability court in Lahore to express solidarity with incarcerated party leaders Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz.

Maryam Nawaz while talking to media said that PML-N was not even close to breaking into factions.“Shallow people have been making the same predictions for the past 30 years. This family is united and will remain united,” she added.

She said that the ‘terror’ that had befallen the government is of no one else’s making but oh was caused by a lack of democratic leadership.

“They will have to suffer for the standard they are setting. Next year would be the year of general elections. The PML-N will also win elections in Gilgit-Baltistan,” responded Maryam Nawaz to a question about the elections in Gilgit Baltistan.

Maryam Nawaz discussed the current political situation particularly the controversial remarks by former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq in the parliament about the return of Indian pilot Abhinandan.

Maryam Nawaz came to the accountability court after she was not given the permission to meet Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz at Kot Lakhpat Jail who are facing the cases of money laundering and assets beyond means.

PML-N leaders Ahsan Iqbal and Maryam Aurangzeb also met Shehbaz Sharif in the courtroom.
