Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Predicts PML-N's Demands Will Be Accepted Before Long March
Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the party's 'issues' would be resolved even before the opposition gives its final call for the long march against PM Imran Khan's government. While speaking on a show on Aaj News, the former prime minister said that the opposition's stance is in the interest of Pakistan, adding that preparations for the long march are underway.

Earlier, the opposition had announced that it would begin mass protests against the incument government which would culminate into a long march in January 2021. The announcement came as part of an Action Plan chalked out by the opposition parties following an All Parties Conference in Islamabad where the formation of Pakistan Democratic Alliance (PDM) was also announced.

PML-N leader and former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday, after which the opposition accused the government of trying to suppress the new alliance.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the PML-N is currently underway with Nawaz Sharif in chair to discuss future course of action.
