No Death From Covid In KP For Fourth Straight Day

There have been no coronavirus deaths reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the past four days, whereas the number of new infections has also remained below 100.

According to a tweet by the KP Health Department, at least 62 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday, taking the total number to 35,893. "No new death was reported but 1 death from mid-August was included taking the total to 1,249," it revealed.

The health department also shared the number of people recovered. It said 191 more patients were recovered, taking the total tally to 33,640.

Currently, there are 1,004 active Covid cases in the province.

Meanwhile, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has warned of a second wave of the coronavirus infections over lack of compliance of the SOPs. "There was a possibility of re-emergence of the deadly virus as violation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) was being reported in tourist spots," said a report by Dawn.

The NCOC claimed that there were only 8,987 active Covid-19 cases across the country, as per the report.
