Fazlur Rehman’s Brother Transferred Back To KP After Appointment As DC Karachi
Days after his appointment as a deputy commissioner in Karachi, the federal government on Monday repatriated services of Ziaur Rehman, a younger brother of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, back to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The Establishment Division in a notification said: "Ziaur Rehman, a BS-19 officer of Provincial Management Service (PMS), government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, presently posted in government of Sindh, is transferred and his services are repatriated to the KP government with immediate effect.

According to a report in Dawn, the KP government had asked the Centre to transfer Rehman back to the province owing to the shortage of staff.

"The provincial government is facing a shortage of cadre officers and the services of said officer [Rehman] are required for posting in KP," it quoted a letter as saying.

On Thursday, the Sindh government issued a notification posting Ziaur Rehman as the deputy commissioner of Karachi’s Central district by transferring Farhan Ghani, an ex-PCS officer also in grade-19.

The development was said to be the result of a meeting held between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the PPP leadership, including former president Asif Ali Zardari and the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
