At least 23 people have died and 366 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Mardan district while 986 persons tested negative, health sources said on Tuesday.
A total of 1,564 persons were tested for Covid-19 in the district while tests results 261 suspected patients are awaited.
The district administration has allowed 317 suspected coronavirus patients to return to their homes from quarantine centers while the number of the quarantined individuals at quarantine centers in nil. More than 200 suspected patients were discharged from different isolation centers in the district while 54 patients were at isolation centers.
A total of 33,769 people were screened in different parts of the district so far, the health sources said.
In union wise details, the sources said as many as 3,063 persons were screened in Manga so far. The union council was the most affected by the coronavirus and the first death of the country was also reported from this union council.
Similarly, 5,649 persons were screened in Katlang, 7,712 at Bakshali, 8,218 at Rashaki, 2,979 at Shergarh0 and 1,944 persons were screened at Baghcha, according to the health sources.
