Sindh Sets Up Pakistan’s First Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing Facility In Karachi
The Sindh government on Tuesday installed the country’s first Covid-19 drive-thru testing facility in the provincial capital.

The newly established testing centre is a collaboration between Sindh's health and local government departments. Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah along with Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Shaikh and the South deputy commissioner visited the drive-through testing facility installed in district south of Karachi.

Nasir Hussain Shah has said that those who are at risk of Covid-19 can get tested at the drive-through facility instead of going to a hospital.

“Sindh government had been acting in compliance with the international standards and procedures to establish facilities to treat the cases of coronavirus in the province. We have availed the services of all the relevant institutions in the public and private sectors for a joint struggle against the COVID-19 health emergency in the country,” the provincial minister said.

The citizens will have to take an appointment before they can avail the drive-through testing facility set up in Karachi. They will have to call the helpline service established at the South deputy commissioner’s office, which will provide them a code and the appointment time to visit the facility.
