Pakistani law enforcement agencies have arrested a police officer who is alleged to have been an agent for India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in Karachi.
Shehzad Parvez Faisal was an Additional Sub Inspector (ASI) posted at the Shahrah-e-Faisal police station. He was arrested from the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi after an intelligence-based operation by various law enforcement agencies. Reports indicate that he was associated with the MQM-London and was financed by the Mehmood Siddiqui Group.
The police officer is alleged to have been involved in terrorist activities including target-killings in Karachi. Among the items of evidence seized from his possession were two hand grenades.
