SC Orders Installation of 2 Lakh Pakistani Flags In All Provincial Capitals
Supreme Court (SC) while hearing a suo moto case has ordered the authorities to install around two lakh national flags of Pakistan in all the provincial metropolitan cities of the country.

The News reported that a three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, while hearing the suo moto notice case regarding environmental pollution in Islamabad ordered the authorities to install 1 lakh national flags in Karachi, 50,000 in Lahore, 30,000 in Islamabad, while 20,000 in Quetta and Peshawar.

The apex court directed Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to ensure tree plantation at the areas affected from stone crushing at Margalla Hills, besides issuing directives to ensure tree plantation on the roadsides of Express Highway as well as Kashmir Highway.

The chief justice also directed the CDA chairman to concentrate on the beautification and to establish a separate food authority for the federal capital.
