Pakistan’s Train Photo Removed From Indian Gujarat Railways App After Facing Backlash
India’s Gujarat railway police had used a picture of Pakistan’s train on their mobile application designed for passengers’ safety. The authorities then removed the picture after facing severe backlash on social media.

Interestingly, the application was developed for Indian Prime Minister’s home state Gujarat on February 29.

According to a news report published in Indian media outlet NDTV, some social media users pointed out on Saturday that the picture of a green-coloured railway engine used in app 'Surakshit Safar' was of Pakistani train. On learning about it, the Gujarat railway police later got the picture removed from the mobile application.

The media outlet quoted Deputy Inspector General of Police Crime and Railways Gautam Parmar as saying, “to make the application more attractive, the app developer had put some pictures of trains. In the process, he inadvertently used a photograph of a Pakistani train. Upon learning about it, we have asked the developer to remove it. It was an unintentional error."
