In A First, PIA Fines Man For Smoking

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has fined a passenger over smoking for the first time in their history. The passenger was a British origin Pakistani namely Raza Ahsan who was flying from Birmingham to Islamabad.
According to PIA “first ever” imposition of fine realized from passenger on smoking during flight PK792 on 9 December. Passenger was smoking in lavtory & was caught red handed. On arrival his passport was held for fine. Ultimately the fine was paid. pic.twitter.com/qLJQIDiPJD

The passenger was caught smoking in the toilet after which he was made to vacate the toilet and his passport was confiscated. He was held by the Airport Security Force (ASF) at Islamabad Airport and was only given back his passport after he paid the 10000 rupee fine.
